Aikido for Kids

Aikido for kids classes combine Aikido along with Rock and Water both taught worldwide to promote self
awareness, anti-bullying and self defence strategies.

Aikido promotes defensive moves as opposed to aggression, it increases awareness and full-body reflexes.
It promotes calmness of mind, enhances strength, stamina and suppleness and develops internal energy
and power.

Rock and Water an internationally recognised personal development program for children. It teaches simple
self-defence, boundary, communication, and self-confidence exercise.

Jim Kay After practicing Tai Chi for eight years Jim commenced Aikido in 1994 with George Eaton at the Brisbane Dojo.

In 2003 Jim established the Sunshine Coast Dojo where he continues to teach.

Jim holds a Level 1 coaching accreditation with the Martial Arts Industry Association and is also an accredited facilitator of Rock and Water an internationally recognized program promoting self awareness.
